Yes, I've noticed this as well. If you keep your mind occupied with certain things, you tend to dream about these things. Sometimes in very weird combinations. I often can dissect my dreams perfectly, rediscovering the things I was thinking about the days before the dream.
Tonight I dreamt about bying Irish whistles, which was not surprising at all. A bit more than a week ago, I watched some amateur musicians improvising in an Irish pub. I have always wanted one of those beautiful Irish whistles that are a bass or alto whistle. And last night before I went to bed, the radio was conveniently playing a programme about folk music.
What I find stranger, is that I never had one of those typical dreams: flying, walking around naked in inappropriate places... I can really trace most of my dreams to my recent thoughts.
